Mountain Top Estate

 

Bin Lot coffees are the most distinctive coffee lots from Mountain the estate. These coffees are selected from the best individual lots of cherry during processing at the Wet Mill. Each of these Bin Lots are designed to provide a different sensation for the specialty coffee pallet. Individually they are excellent, however when these coffees are tasted together you'll be amazed at how diverse one range of coffees can be, from a single plantation.


Our 2007 Bin Lots are our best yet - these coffees were harvested in Oct-Dec 2006 and this year we have selected 4 Bins under the estate range.

Bin 88 - is from a semi-washed process, which is closest to an acid-driven style of coffee, in the vein of the best classical specialty coffees in the world.
Bin 478 - also derives from a semi-washed process, but is a more delicate and well balanced style of coffee; soft acidity, mellow sweetness and even body.
Bin 549 - is a late harvest semi-washed process; this is a little wild and gamey with a fruity, berry-style sweetness, perhaps not for all tastes, but very distinctive.
Bin 35 - is made from a Double Pass Process, used for espresso; a very sweet and complex dark caramel, with a marmalade style of fruitiness and thick syrupy body. This is an amazing single estate espresso with incredible complexity, similar to what you achieve from a blended espresso.

All of the Mountain Top Estate Bin Lots are packaged in vacuum sealed, foil laminate pouches inside a 20 kilogram box. This is the newest and most advanced packaging system in the world and has been proven to extend the shelf life and retain the unique and special flavours of green coffee.
