The coffee bean is a seed around which grows the fruit. The bean derives much of its most characteristic flavours and sweetness from the fruit - or cherry. The cherry dries to a raisin like skin and can be used as a tea. It is somewhat similar to hibiscus in flavour, has high antioxidants and low caffeine. It can be easily steeped and strained like and has a good refrigeration life - so fantastic as an ingredient for cool summer drink mixes, or as a warm winter fireside Mulled-wine style beverage. It is very sweet, with silky, sometimes tingling mouthfeel and a fruity nature all its own. I often combine with a little citrus and spice or ginger.We carry 3 different exposures of this tea.
